The dialectical approach to capturing their thoughts, knowledge and creations provides an immediate proximity to their artistic thinking and work spanning more than three decades. At the same time, objective distance and verifiability are maintained through art-scientific contextualisation. In their collaboration under Parallel Media, their individual creative processes enter into a correlating relationship in order to create something new. It is the affinity of their structure, whose genesis is based on Parallelism and Circulation. The artistic intention of Parallel Media is to produce audiovisually synaesthetic art in order to hear moving images and see music. The works included in the publication are available on the YouTube channel of the editor Two Congruent Zero [ audiovisual synaesthetic works ] - presented at international festivals, museums and galleries in more than 40 countries The title tense_intense refers to the temporal dimension of density in their time-based art. Intensity and extensity exist in equal measure and determine the uncompromisingly abstract world of form and sound in order to create an immersive sensory experience. tense_intense is also the title of their last major joint exhibition at the Museo Carlo Bilotti / Villa Borghese in Rome, curated by Laura Carlotta Gottlob, which is documented in detail in the publication. The expanding text contributions reflect on the work from an art-scientific perspective. Wolf Guenter Thiel identifies intentional art in autopoietic form. And Azby Brown locates contextualised art of abstract basic principles. |
